What Would the Bond Do, If the Measure Passes?
Pending taxpayer approval, the Estacada School bond would make a promise to taxpayers to achieve at minimum the projects outlined below. The district will also aggressively seek cost savings in order to deliver additional projects and maximize the community's multi-generational historic investment.

Build A New Estacada High School ($114 Million)
- Build a new two-story space on the current EHS campus to house all 9th through 12th grade students, featuring new performing arts and gym spaces
- Update Career Technical Education and common spaces to be utilized by EHS and EMS students

Establish a Junior High School ($8 Million)
- Renovate and repurpose EHS to serve as an updated, efficient, and safe new junior high for 7th and 8th grades
- Create separate EHS/EMS spaces and entrances, but provide a shared updated career technical education space that features industry grade tools and technology

Transform Estacada Middle School Into A Third Elementary ($1 Million)
- EMS will be converted into a third elementary, providing essential overcrowding relief at the elementary levels (grade distribution will be decided via committee)
- EMS will receive a playground, smaller fixtures, and transform lockers into cubbies to create an age-appropriate space

Improve Student Safety & Complete Essential Repairs ($12 Million)
- Focus on student safety, with fire suppression and school security strengthened
- New plumbing, electrical, roofing, and windows to increase efficiency and address essential systems that are currently failing

Install Climate Control & Air Conditioning At All Schools ($4 Million)
- Improve heating and install air conditioning in all schools to eliminate temperature-related school closures and provide a comfortable learning environment
- Updates allow school facilities to be used as an evacuation and cooling shelter for the community

Expand and Establish Extracurricular and Community Space ($10 Million)
- Create all-season athletic and extracurricular fields (designations decided by committees)
- Enhance fields, parkspace, and facilities for community, sports, and youth programs to utilize
Total Bond Costs To Not Exceed $145 Million

- Earthwork and acreage savings from using current EHS site for EHS/EMS buildings
- Air conditioning costs are variable
- The district will seek in-kind & monetary donations
- The district is eligible for a $4 million grant from the state that is dependent on bond approval by voters

- Expanded Career Technical Education projects at EHS/EMS
- Expanded academic space at EHS
- Proactively address additional facility needs at all schools and provide maintenance updates to last generations
